What Snod doesn’t do yet
Updated 11 October 2026
Snod is made by one person and grows a step at a time. Here’s what it doesn’t do yet, said plainly, and what to do instead today where there’s something.
Connect to Google Calendar or another calendar
Snod’s calendar doesn’t sync with Google Calendar or any other calendar, and it can’t read or make .ics files or calendar links.
Instead, today: add your events in Snod in one line (Dentist fri 9:30), and keep your other calendar for the ones other people share with you. Moving from Google Tasks and Calendar shows how.
Share with other people
Everything in Snod is yours alone: there are no shared lists, shared calendars or family accounts.
Instead, today: to send someone a note, use Export at the top of the note, which saves it as a file you can send.
Import from other apps
Snod can’t import tasks, events or notes from another app, Google Tasks and Google Calendar included.
Instead, today: write what you still need in one line in Tasks or Calendar, and paste text into a note.
End-to-end encryption
Snod isn’t end-to-end encrypted. Every connection to Snod is encrypted, and the database only lets your account read your things, but the copy on Snod’s server isn’t locked with a key that only you hold. The privacy policy says where it’s kept and who can reach it.
Instead, today: keep passwords and very private details in an app made for them.
iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows apps
Snod is an Android app and a web app. There’s no app for iPhone or iPad, and nothing to download for a Mac or a Windows PC.
Instead, today: on a laptop or PC, Snod runs in Chrome or Edge at app.snod.app, with the same account as your phone, and installs like an app (how).
Photos and files in notes
You can’t add photos or files to a note: Snod doesn’t store files.
Instead, today: put a link in the note to where the file lives.
Reminders on a computer while Snod is closed
On a computer, Snod’s reminders appear only while Snod is open in the browser. The Android app’s reminders arrive even when Snod is closed.
Instead, today: keep Snod open in a tab or its own window on the computer, or let your phone remind you.
Want one of these?
Say so: Settings → Help and feedback → Send feedback, or email hello@snod.app. What people ask for helps decide what Snod does next.
