Testing Snod
Updated 10 October 2026
Before Snod goes on Google Play for everyone, a small group uses it for two weeks and tells us what to fix. Thank you for helping: what you notice matters a lot.
How do I join the test?
You need an Android phone, and the Google account it uses for Google Play.
- Join the testers’ group. Open groups.google.com/g/snod-testers/about in Chrome. (Came from Instagram or TikTok? Use ⋮ → Open in Chrome first.) Sign in with the Google account your phone uses for Google Play, then choose Join group.
- Become a tester. Open play.google.com/apps/testing/app.snod.android in Chrome, with the same Google account, and press Become a tester. The button can take a few minutes to appear after you join the group.
- Install Snod from Google Play, then sign in with Google or with your email address.
Google Play says “Item not found”? See Troubleshooting.
Why do the 14 days matter?
Google only lets a new app be published once enough people have tested it for 14 days in a row. So please keep Snod installed, stay in the test, and open it most days for two weeks. A minute is plenty: add a task, tick one off, glance at your calendar. Every day counts.
Things to try
- Add a task in one line:
Call the dentist @fri !high. - Add an event the same way:
Lunch with Sam tomorrow 1pm. - Write a note with a checklist: start a line with
- [ ]. - Set up a routine you already do, and run it once.
- Arrange your home screen: Edit, then move and resize the tiles.
- Try it without signal: aeroplane mode, make a change, then come back online.
- Meet Brae, the haggis in the corner. If Brae isn’t for you, Settings turns him off.
- Want more views? Settings → Tasks → General switches on a board, a matrix and stats; Settings → Routines → General switches on the history.
Every app has a Help button with short demos.
How do I send feedback?
In Snod: Settings → Help and feedback → Send feedback, or the ⋯ menu in any app (Send feedback about Tasks, for example). Say what you were doing and what happened. If something went wrong, switch on Include technical details: it adds the app version, your device and its system version, the sync status and the last few error messages, and it’s only sent if you switch it on.
Feedback written offline sends when you’re back online, and Your feedback shows whether each message has been sent and read. Or email hello@snod.app.
Good to know
- This is a test version: things may change, and now and then something may not work.
- The “Signing in for Google Play’s review?” link on the sign-in screen is only for Google’s reviewers. Testers sign in with Google or an emailed code.
- Snod is in early access, and testers get a founding member price: see Early access and pricing.
- Your things are private to your account. Your data and privacy explains export and deleting your account.
